DAPPER DAN

Dapper Dan Club of Allegany County is a longtime friend and supporter of The League. Two of their fundraising events that benefit The League are listed below. The Dapper Dan is a wonderful organization dedicated to helping children in the area.

If you, or someone you know, played Little League baseball in Cumberland then you have the Dapper Dan Club to thank!

GOLF TOURNAMENT/AUCTION

This is our biggest fundraiser. We have many opportunities to volunteer, donate an auction item, to attend the cocktail party, become a golf sponsor or to play on a golf team, please contact us at 301-759-5200 for more information.

KID WALK

Kid Walk / Kid Talk is our second largest fundraiser. It involves the help and participation of families and patients. Those participating obtain business and individual monetary sponsors. The day of the walk all participants, staff and volunteers enjoy the friendship and fun in achieving our goal.

WMSR ROUND UP

Labor Day weekend has been the week end for the Western Maryland Street Rod Round Up. This event is held at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, Maryland. The proceeds from this event benefit The League for Crippled Children Inc. Car enthusiasts from all over the country travel to Cumberland to enter their prized automobile in this event. Some individuals simply come to enjoy a fun filled week-end of unique cars, great people, good food, live music, competition events and more! It is an outstanding week end.

RiteCare Clinic

The joint efforts of everyone who donates to the following fundraisers allows the Scottish Rite to continue their aid in the funding of the Cumberland Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Clinic and the Oakland Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Clinic, which provide free speech evaluations and therapy to children in the tri-state area.
